Commercial Advisory Group

The Commercial Advisory Group (CAG) provides British APCO members with a vital link to commercial organisations having interests in the promotion of best practice and production of systems to meet user needs. The CAG meets regularly and is made up of British APCO commercial member companies.

The Terms of Reference of the Group are as follows:

To provide a two way source of communications between the user members and the commercial members of the Association to:

  1. ensure that an effective relationship is maintained between the Association and the communications and IT industry:
  2. ensure that industry developments are monitored and reported for the benefit of the membership of the Association:
  3. promote and encourage support for regular exchanges of information whereby user requirements may be identified and promulgated for the benefit of the membership:
  4. provide a source of expertise and support to ensure that marketing and recruitment for the Association is maintained at a high level of professionalism, and
  5. ensure that the interests of the commercial membership are protected.

Much activity has been providing support and advice in the planning of the Association’s Annual Exhibition, Regional Seminars and Meetings and publication of the British APCO Journal.

All civil contingency response agencies and individual members of British APCO are encouraged to make use of the industry contacts available to them through CAG for advice, assistance and support in relation to commercial, technical, emerging technology and related issues.
