Malicious software - designed to infect computers to steal bank details and identity information - poses a growing threat in the UK as more people use the internet and an increasing proportion of economic activity takes place online. MPs on the Science and Technology Select Committee say the Government must do more to help the public understand how to stay safe online.
The British Association of Public Safety Communication Officials (British APCO) and Public Safety Communication Europe (PSCE) are proud to announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding which outlines their intention to collaborate over the next three years on a range of communication issues which are of mutual interest.
Themed “Connect – Communicate – Collaborate,” IEEE ICC 2012 is expected to host more than 2,000 industry professionals, scientists, academics and government officials attending nearly 1,500 presentations highlighting the latest research, innovations and business policies surrounding the entire range of global voice, data, image and multimedia technologies.
Membership of British APCO is open to all persons in the United Kingdom, the Channel Isles, Isle of Man and Ireland who are associated with the provision, maintenance, and use (managers, engineers, programmers, communications operators, end users, suppliers consultants) of civil contingencies communications and information systems.
