Read on for the latest on eCall

eCall based on the European single emergency number 112 will be available in the UK for all new types of cars and light trucks manufactured after 31st March 2018.

In preparation all Public Safety Answering Points have to be capable of receiving eCall by the 1st October 2017.

This will place different demands across all emergency services, is your service ready to receive and deal with eCall, do you even know what eCall is?

British APCO have staged a series of events dealing with eCall and its implications for the UK and hope to provide further information at our Autumn Event on the 8th & 9th November in Newcastle.

Further information for the emergency service and emergency responder community can be obtained by contacting support@bapco.org.uk or via the British APCO website.
