telent are looking for a sales manager to drive our sales growth. You will need to focus on new business as well as customer retention and scope development. You will need to have experience within the Public Safety and Defence sector to be successful in this role.

Role Profile

Within this role you will be responsible to develop and drive new, long term and profitable relationships with multiple customers in the Public Safety and Defence business sector.

The role can be considered in two parts;

  1. Sales growth focus, develop and drive new business with sector customers

  2. Customer retention and scope development

Typical Deliverables

You will be expected to meet mutually agreed sales and  revenue targets and must have a proven track of achieving successful  sales growth in the relevant Public Safety & Defence sectors.
You will need to have a good understanding of  likely  sales opportunity and potential revenue pipeline in the PS& Defence sectors over the next 3 years and ideally have an existing customer contacts and  sales opportunity network established within the relevant sectors.

Responsibilities

  • To drive revenue through the development and execution of effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in line with the Annual Revenue Target

  • To identify and create strategies for new business which would create growth

  • To build management relationships with customers to strengthen the telent position and use these relationships to help build a strong sales pipeline

  • Contract negotiations on new business and renewals

  • Ensure internal stakeholders have the latest marketplace intelligence, customer feedback and requirements

  • To lead customer proposals and presentations in response to specific opportunities

  • To assist colleagues where necessary and requested in contract launch, invoicing and cash collection activities when customer contracts are 'in flight'

Skills

Experience:

  • Sales experience in a Public Safety and or Defence environment.

  • Proven success in developing and delivering a sales strategy and achieving successful sales growth in line with the business requirement and personal targets.

  • Negotiation and Presentation skills. Strong ICT services and operational understanding, Communication and Critical Thinking skills.

  • Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
