Lynne McCartney

Lynne McCartney

Executive Committee Member

Lynne is a Police Superintendent working firstly as a Strathclyde Police officer and then with Police Scotland when all forces in Scotland amalgamated.

Lynne has a variety of operational and managerial policing experience. She became the Chief Inspector responsible for the three area control rooms in Strathclyde Police in 2011 then the Police Scotland lead for Airwave in 2012. Lynne then moved to her current role in NPCC Operational Communications in Policing (OCiP) in 2014, where she performs the GB wide role of National Airwave User Assurance Co-ordinator (UAC) providing a single point of contact for all forces in relation to Airwave matters.

Lynne also has a role in helping to ensure that ESN delivers for users aligned with what they currently receive from Airwave. Lynne very much has the user community at the centre of all that she does, and is keen to minimise risk to operational policing as far as possible.
