Handsfree Group successfully selected under the OJEU Contract Notice 2019/S 073-173137 for (The Provision of LTE Vehicle Devices and Accessories for the UK Emergency Services Network [ESN])
January 2020 – The Board of Handsfree Group are extremely pleased to announce that we have been selected by the Home Office as one of the Framework Suppliers to provide Fixed Vehicle Devices (FVD) and Associated Accessories to the UK Emergency Services Network (ESN) and the other User Operator (UO) emergency communities. The ESN contract is one of the first of its kind and is ground-breaking for the UK 3ES under a GBP multi-million ESN Framework Agreement.
The estimated total value for the Collective ‘Call Offs’ Agreements under the Framework Agreement is up to GBP £140 Million for the Framework Period including all potential contract extensions. The anticipated volume of Vehicle Devices is 40,000 units across the Emergency Services under the ‘Call Off’ contract over a number of years with options to extend.

Our state-of-the art ESN solutions will provide a suite of integrated solutions and compatible applications that will deliver mission critical push-to-talk voice and high-speed data services to the 3ES communities by Q1-2021. Our ‘world first’ innovative mission critical communication systems have been developed through extensive R&D by Handsfree Group alongside our strategic suppliers pei tel Communications (who are market leaders in fixed vehicle device manufacture) and Advantech, (who are worldwide customised-machine to machine specialists).
The Handsfree team are extremely excited about the opportunity to work with the Home Office and the 3ES to deliver the future integrated critical voice and broadband data communications services that meet the public safety requirements for coverage, functionality, availability and security under the Framework Agreement.
