Operational Evaluation Lead for the ESMCP

Dr Stuart Lander became the Operational Evaluation Lead for the ESMCP in December 2018 following an extensive 30-year career in the police service.  His role is to design and deliver Operational Evaluation, which will generate formal evidence to support decisions regards acceptance of ESN ahead of transitioning into business as usual.  It is vital this role is undertaken with a degree of independence and robust focus on ESN being operationally acceptable. 

Stuarts career has included roles as Head of Specialist Operations, Geographic Commander, Strategic Firearms Commander, Maritime Firearms Commander for the Olympics, Advanced Public Order Commander, Head of Contingency Planning, Director of Business Change and latterly the South West Region Programme Director for ESMCP. 

Stuarts extensive operational and business change experience sets him in good stead to deliver this vital element of the programmes work.

In his spare time, Stuart enjoys renovating his barn conversion in Devon and travelling in his motorhome.
