Belfast City Council has established a Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) competition to encourage organisations to collaborate with the city on technology-driven solutions that can help manage safe, accessible and enjoyable parks and open spaces. There will also be opportunities to support Dublin City Council as well.

The competition is seeking submissions with solutions that are viable, scalable and cost-effective. For Phase One, Belfast expects businesses to be able to mobilise quickly to show the feasibility and practicality of the proposed concept or solution. The total funding for this Challenge is £120,000. Contracts will be awarded for a four month period with funding offered up to a maximum of £20,000 per scoping exercise.

The deadline for applications is 12:00 (GMT) on 14 November 2018. Information sessions for potential applicants will be held on 23 October, 29 October, and 7 November in Belfast. (These are not compulsory but interested organisations are encouraged to attend.) Access the Challenge and more information by clicking below.
