1st Nov 2019

Mason Advisory, a leading independent IT consultancy, is celebrating success after winning the Excellence Award at the Salford Business Awards 2019.

The Excellence Award focuses on businesses that ensure excellence is at the forefront of the entire organisation including management, processes, feedback, monitoring and customer service. Judges were looking for high standards of leadership, planning, analysis, people management and customer-led focus.

The awards were hosted by ITV Granada News presenter and reporter, Elaine Willcox, at a gala dinner at The Lowry hotel on 31st October, and are an annual event organised in partnership between the University of Salford, The Business Group and Salford City Council.

Steve Watmough, CEO at Mason Advisory, says: “We’ve had a brilliant year in terms of business success and client wins, awards and accolades, and staff satisfaction so to win this award so close to home is a great achievement. We’re delighted to have been recognised for our contribution to Salford’s economy and for the high standards we aim to reach across the business.

“We know there are many important organisations in the region carrying out impressive work and this award really is a testament to the dedication of our teams, their commitment to our business objectives, and the high-quality work they deliver.

“Now is an exciting time for Salford and the North West region, as it’s in a period of really strong growth and prosperity, and we’ve got exciting expansion plans for 2020 and beyond. We’ll continue to deliver innovative and transformational IT projects across the UK and abroad and these accolades will certainly enhance our reputation as a business.”

This is the first time the MediaCityUK-based business has entered the awards so to win one is a major achievement.

Now in its fifth year of operation, Mason Advisory has customers from well-known brands across multiple sectors, including finance, life sciences, retail, FMCG, emergency services, health, energy, water, education, government and transport.

Earlier this year, the company was featured in the London Stock Exchange Group’s 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019, and was recognised by the Financial Times as one of the fastest growing companies in Europe and one of the leading management consultancies in the UK. Also winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the international trade category, and recognised by Great Place to Work ® as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing.

Steve adds: “Over the last five years the Mason Advisory brand has become synonymous with the delivery of high-quality consultancy, and the skill and expertise of our specialist consultants means that we are able to offer our customers the very best service, knowledge and project management. We are building on all that we have achieved so far so that we can continue to go from strength to strength.”
