MCPTT Plugtests and MCOP — What's New? - Webinar

18th Aug 2018

The second mission-critical push to talk (MCPTT) Plugtests event that included 31 vendors recently took place at Texas A&M University in College Station. This webinar will present the results from the week-long event, organized by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) together with TCCA and other supporters. The event tested more than 300 combinations of vendors and equipment based on Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) Release 14.

The MCPTT Plugtests event is the first to be held in the United States following last year's inaugural event in France. This year's Plugtests also tested mission-critical data (MCData) and mission-critical video (MCVideo).

The webinar will also give an update on the Mission Critical Open Platform (MCOP) project and its release of a free, open software development kit (SDK) and sample MCPTT application. This facilitates the development of mission-critical services by handling most of the complexity of an MCPTT application development in the SDK.
