Emergency services call for stronger cooperation with tech companies

EENA has today published a position paper calling for tech companies to work more closely with the emergency services when developing and delivering new technologies.

BAPCO is pleased to support this position paper as one of a cohort of signatories from across the world.  This is the first paper endorsed by all the partners from CC:IPS the Collaborative Coalition for International Public Safety, of which BAPCO is a founding member.

BAPCO CEO Ian Thompson said; “The development of new technology is a challenge for emergency services everywhere.  In the UK we have the Emergency App Accreditation Scheme run by BAPCO on behalf of the 999 Liaison Committee. Through this and the work of our members from all parts of our community we work hard to help to overcome these issues and help deliver the benefits. Reports like this from EENA help to highlight the potential benefits and the challenges.”
