To help take us on the next part of our journey we are looking for a special person to join us, on a part time basis, as Association Support Officer. This exciting new role will help manage and oversee the Technical Activities of British APCO along with being the primary contact for our Corporate Members.
Working closely with the British APCO Board, our Chief Operating Officer and the Association’s support provider, you will be able to develop this new role which will help us remain at the forefront of emergency service and public safety communications. Your activities will help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response across the UK and further afield – in particular, providing synergy with our Corporate Members as we work together for the benefit of all.
You will find detailed information on the role in the attached job description and person specification. If you are already a member of British APCO, and either are or have recently been working in the field of critical communications as either a user or supplier then you will be of particular interest to us.
The role will help further our objectives to improve public safety and support the Chief Operating Officer and our Board to maintain the high profile that British APCO has across public safety. It will ensure our exhibitions and publications remain of the highest calibre. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual, and we look forward to receiving your application. Salary and working arrangements are negotiable; we expect that this will be a part-time, 3 days per week role.
